Social problems are issues that affect members of a community either directly or indirectly. They are an undesirable condition that undermines the wellbeing of the community. Examples of social problems include crime, social injustices, poor health conditions, drugs, and human right violation. Others are poor mental health, joblessness, gender-based violence, racism, and inequality.

There are social problems everybody agrees on, for example, murder. Some problems may not bother some people. Therefore, it is not a social problem for all. When the elderly may be disturbed by the loud music in the neighborhood, youths may not be bothered. These problems are not limited to locals. People experience it both in the national and international levels. In this paper, we shall look at examples of social issues, causes, and solutions

1) Unemployment

This is one major cause of social problem among the youth. This occurs when people who are ready and willing to work lack jobs despite actively searching for it. It results in frustrations and affects your mental health and cause depression. It leads to an increase in crime, robbery with violence, murder, corruption increases.

2) Poverty

When people lack money from material possession, then they are poor. Poor people are not able to afford basic needs. This is accelerated by illiteracy, poor agricultural sector; parents getting many children whom they cannot afford to give basic needs.

3) Rapid Population Growth

When the population increases rapidly, poverty and joblessness will be on arising.

4) Urbanization

Urbanization occurs when many people migrate from rural to urban areas. This causes a huge social problem since the cost of living will increase. Since people have to survive the crime rate increases. In the slum area, children get into prostitution and use drugs to relieve stress. Thou urbanization have few benefits like bringing diversity, and some people get many opportunities. The market becomes competitive. Brainstorming these ideas could get tough. 5) Lack of Proper Education

If the community lacks basic education, then they will not be able to take care of themselves. They will not take proper diet, they will not use family planning, and they will not be able to grab opportunities that arise. Examples of social problems in society that arise as a result of this include diseases, poverty, and poor living conditions.

6) Superstitious Beliefs

Superstitious believes form another cause of social problems in society. Some beliefs will prevent individuals from progress. They expose their innocence to bad people who are out to cheat and steal from them. This increase poverty among the members of society.

Some of the solutions of solving social problems in the community examples include improving our education center and encouraging everyone to study, mass awareness, being tolerant to each other, providing guidance to the youth, putting away bad beliefs, growing our agricultural sector be de-urbanization, and adopting a positive attitude.

7) Lack of Proper Advice and Guidance to the Youths

When youths lack proper guidance, they tend to get in bad anti-social behaviors. Some get into drugs, others into robbery, prostitution, kidnapping, rape, hit men among others.

Conclusion

Since social problems hinder the growth and development of society, there is a need to find a solution. The only way to effect this is through in-depth research and data analysis. Science will solve some of the most notorious problems in society.
